Canis lupus familiaris 'Bodhi'
This is the original black dog mascot for Black Dog LED.
Scientific classification: |

| Order: | Carnivora |
| Family: | Canidae |
| Genus: | Canis |
| Species: | lupus |
| Subspecies: | familiaris |
| Cultivar: | 'Bodhi' |
Natural habitat and growing conditions:
When not manning the reception desk, Bodhi is frequently found supervising operations or sleeping on our feet under our desks. He greets all visitors to the Black Dog LED office. He has a weakness for jerky treats (he's staring at one in his mug shot) and has 4 pet chickens, of which he is very protective. Well-adapted to a temperate climate, he doesn't mind snow or cold temperatures, though prefers not to be watered from overhead. While Bodhi doesn't perform photosynthesis, he does appreciate full sun for basking-- and is relatively unimpressed with the LED grow lights named for him as they don't create the same fur-and-leaf-warming infrared light as the sun and HID lights.
Notes of interest:
- Bodhi loves to chase flies around the office. Unlike the carnivorous plants in his indoor garden, he doesn't know what to do with flies if he manages to catch one, and doesn't digest them.
- Bodhi supervised the construction of his state-of-the-art indoor grow room, though his physical contributions to the process were minimal.
