Hello!

If you heat up elemental copper in the presence of oxygen, it will burn and create a green glow-- but that is not "black body" radiation, it is the chemical reaction of oxidizing copper that generates the glow. If you heat up elemental copper in the absence of oxygen, it will never glow green.

You state "there is no temperature you can warm something up to for it to glow green." While this is in no means my area of expertise, is it not correct that if you heat up elemental copper (Cu), i.e. in many firework displays. Does that not glow green, albeit up for a short time at least?
