Limited Lifetime Warranty

What Is Covered

Black Dog LED Australia products are warranted against manufacture defects to the original owner from the date of original purchase for the expected lifetime of the light.  In the event of defective materials and/or workmanship, Black Dog LED Australia will repair or replace, at its option, the defective product within 45 days from receipt of the defective product for the first three (3) years after purchase.

After three (3) years and up to five (5) years from the original date of purchase, the customer will be responsible for labour associated with repairs and Black Dog LED Australia will be responsible for the cost of parts.

Return shipping of the repaired light is covered by Black Dog Led Australia up to $75 per incident for the first three (3) years after purchase.  In the first three (3) years after purchase, if return shipping will exceed $75, the customer will be notified and is responsible for paying any amount of shipping over $75 prior to the product being shipped back to the customer.

What is Not Covered

The Warranty does not apply to damage resulting from improper care, housings that have been opened, misuse or normal wear and tear, which includes but is not limited to 5% or less of LEDs not lighting, improper installation, and/or failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance, improperly packaging and shipping the light back to Black Dog LED Australia, etc.

After five (5) years Black Dog LED Australia will offer repair services or parts as long as parts are available; the cost of repairs and parts after five (5) years are the sole responsibility of the customer.

After three (3) years, the customer is responsible for paying for return shipping prior to the product being shipped back to the customer.

How To Obtain Warranty Service

In order to enforce the rights under this warranty, the purchaser must notify Black Dog LED Australia of a warranty claim by contacting a representative on 0408 855 996 or info@blackdogledgrowlights.com.au. At this time the purchaser will be called upon to provide proof of purchase and the unique serial number located on the sticker on top of the housing.  Our representative will either attempt to assist in troubleshooting, request photos showing defect, or issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) and provide return instructions.  Upon receipt and review of the defective product Black Dog LED Australia will repair or replace you unit per Warranty guidelines above.  On dispatch of your unit you will be sent an e-mail notifying you of the dispatch, the shipping company used, the expected delivery time and any applicable tracking numbers.

90 Day Return Policy

If you are unsatisfied with any Black Dog LED Australia grow lights, you can return it for a refund within 90 days from the original purchase date.  A Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) must be requested and the product shipped within 90 days of the original date of receipt.

Returns are limited to one (1) light per customer.  All lights must be returned in “as new” condition in the original packaging and include all accessories.  Lights that have been broken, damaged, altered, or had the housing opened are not returnable.  “Damaged” includes but is not limited to water damage and damage resulting from being dropped and/or incorrect electrical connection.

Returns will be charged a 10% restocking fee.  Shipping charges are non-refundable.  We recommend using a carrier that has tracking capabilities when sending returns.  The customer assumes responsibility for return shipping fees, insuring the return shipment, and filing any necessary claims for damages or lost returns.

How To Obtain Refund Service

At this time the purchaser will be called upon to provide proof of purchase and the unique serial number located on the sticker on top of the housing.  Our representative will verify qualifying information and, if eligible, issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) and provide return instructions.  Upon receipt and review of the returned product Black Dog LED Australia will issue a return credit within ten (10) business days.

Damage Claim Policy & Procedure

Based on US partner data damages Grow Light shipments occur less than 0.5% of the time.  In the unfortunate event that damages do occur, the following procedure and timeline must be followed in order to ensure the expeditious delivery of a replacement unit and a claim being filed with the damaging carrier.

  1. When customer receives their Black Dog LED Grow Light, the external packaging must be inspected for any rips, tears, punctures, abrasions, creases, or any other marks that may indicate damage on the interior.  Please ensure this inspection occurs alongside the courier driver.
  2. Significant damages should be refused by the customer and signed off by the driver.
  3. Minor damages to the external packaging should be noted on the paperwork before signing for the shipment.  The driver may ask for the packaging to be removed to see if the product itself is damaged.   If there is damage to the unit, please repack and refuse delivery ensuring the driver signs this off.
  4. Damages not noticed and seen with the driver present may still be claimed as concealed damages.
  5. A Black Dog LED Australia representative MUST BE NOTIFIED OF THE DAMAGES (refused or concealed) WITHIN 48 HOURS IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY BEGIN A CLAIM WITH THE SHIPPING COMPANY.  Please ensure that this notification is sent by e-mail to info@blackdogledgrowlights.com.au so that we have record of when notified.  Customers exceeding this time frame may be penalised with a delay and/or forfeiture of a replacement, and or financial penalties.
  6. The assigned Black Dog Led Australia representative will require pictures and a description of the damages so please send those through when sending through notification in 5. above.
  7. Once the required pictures and description are received, a pick up of the damaged product, and the shipment of the replacement product will be scheduled.
  8. Provided that all of the above requirements are met, Black Dog LED Australia will make every effort to send a replacement unit within 72 hours.  However extenuating circumstances may prevent 100% adherence to this policy.
